[Movie Thoughts] Tomorrowland | ดินแดงแห่งอนาคต ความหวัง และความฝัน
I ...well I LOVE THE MOVIE!
The main character, Casey, has an unique (well...different) belief about our world than the other basic characters, her teachers and classmates in the movie obviously. It shows in the part that she's in her classes, all the teachers teach about disaster, the ending of earth, and how it getting worst and not better. She asked 'can we fix it?', this one basic question that sound ridiculous comparing to what we saw on the news everyday whether it's earthquake, melting glacier, or the erupting volcanoes, actually can lead us to the different future than just accept that it's going to end! With her character, we lead to see the different thought about it, an optimistic one. Even though there is a small little chance of it to really change the whole thing by seeing the statistic that already calculated, but things have not happen yet, so how do we really know that this one small chance that we going to turn it down would not work.
In the film, the scene where Nix, is he a robot or just a man from another dimension? Anyway. In that scene he talked about how it's not the fault of the monitor that showing people all the disaster and the coming of the end of their world but it's them, human beings. It's their fault for not trying to change things and fight against it but just kind of accepting it. That hits me right to my face! It's true! Really true about us people. Most of the people, and here I included myself in, are just accepting things that happen around us. That's what we did for the pasting years of the wrathful Earth. People seems to be giving up about it because they see themselves very small comparing to the nature. That is really the point of the film. It shows us what we are and hit us in our face trying to wake us up! Frank is a character that is the example of someone who gave up after seeing the future but he came back when he met the new hope and dream, Casey. Just be optimistic and never giving up because there is always a chance to change, this is what I think the film try to say.
*This is just what I think. I know there're a lot of people out there who might not agree with me but it felt good when we able to share our ideas over things. Tell me what do you think about it if you've seen the movie.
